Worship music is a big thing for us. Musical Worship helps us grow closer to God, and to focus on Him. The Bible is full of music, of people, even angels singing and playing songs to our King. We try to provide an atmosphere of excellence in music, giving Him nothing less than our best.​

 

 

Our Musical History

 

Our Pastor, Jeff Coover, has a lifelong history of music in his family. Growing up he learned how to play the organ and keyboard as his family traveled around the country. His father was a preacher and spoke at many hundreds of tent revivals over the years. Since his dad was preaching, someone had to do the singing, so Jeff was nominated. Turns out he had a knack for rhythm, for the feel of a good song. It didn't take long before Jeff caught the spark and learned to love music. Now he is one of the premier gospel organ players in the land. In fact, he brought that same old organ to the new building and still fires it up occasionally. If you have never heard Jeff going on the organ, picture high energy, fast, mind-blowing sound. It's something we all look forward to. Combine his organ or keyboard playing with his unique vocal style and you are really in for a treat.

 

Pastor Jeff now has his own musically talented family. He still leads worship on many songs. However, now he has his son Evan and his wife Shana to help out with the musical responsibilities. The three of them together provide some beautiful harmonies. In fact, their daughter Jillian has one of the most beautiful voices anyone has ever heard (but she's a bit shy).

The Coover family are very talented, and they are also very open, loving and always ready to welcome new musicians to the family. We have a great team of musicians on our Praise Team, and we are always looking for more. There is always room for you if you decide to make us your home, bringing your unique musical gift and style with you. The world talks about diversity, meanwhile, we live it. We live it out loud, with a true diversity of musical styles and colors when we give God the Praise. We have no "set" style. We are open to playing any style you bring, and every service is unique. You may hear an old classic followed by a new hit, with everything else mixed in between.

 

In other words, we don't try to fit our musicians into a mold. We want you to bring us something new to share & enjoy. We want to learn from you as we practice and play our songs together. Every voice is different, everyone plays their instrument with a different flair. It all works together to form beautiful music we can all appreciate, music that helps lead us all into a spirit of praise & worship to the God of us all. 

 

All we ask is for you to have a true heart of worship. There is no room for divas or drama on our stage. We will worship Him with all our hearts, even if no one else does. True worship begins in you, then flows out thru your voice or instrument. This is the excellence we seek when we play and sing.
